Introducing four Pathfinder companies to investors next June 29th at 2 pm CEST

The European Innovation Council and Bpifrance - EuroQuity are pleased to invite investors to participate in our first Access2EIC - Pathfinder ePitch session. This first edition will take place on June 29th at 2 PM (CEST). Five EIC Pathfinder SMEs will have the chance to present their innovative solutions during an online event.

Within the Access2EIC project, the European Innovation Council (EIC) and EuroQuity-Bpifrance are organizing an epitch session in which a selection of 4 EIC Pathfinder companies will be pitching for 5 minutes each.

As part of the Pathfinder programme, the EIC supports the exploration of bold ideas for radically new technologies. It welcomes the high-risk / high gain and interdisciplinary science collaborations that underpin technological breakthroughs. This session features companies that have received grants up to 3 to 4 million. Investors will meet visionary scientists introducing their start-ups.

Following this session, investors are invited to schedule one-to-one meetings with the companies of their preference.

This solution decreases MRI scan time by up to 50%, addressing the challenge of long wait times in MRI. WearMe is the first lightweight, wireless and wearable radiofrequency device designed to reduce MRI scan time for the same image quality. On-going technical due diligence with a TOP 4 MRI OEM – Winner of the Best Young SME 2018 Innovation Radar Prize | TRL: 6-7 | TAM: $1B | Next Steps: regulation & industrialization | EUR 2.5mn sought – France

Membrane Technology / Water Filtration / New Materials

We develop water filtration membranes based on our proprietary ultrathin Carbon Nanomembranes (CNMs). CNMs are highly water permeable while blocking the transport of salt and small organic molecules. First markets are in cold concentration of watery solutions (e. g. food & beverages and flavour & fragrances) and in provision of ultrapure water for semiconductor and pharma industry. Further applications of CNMs are in semiconductor production, sensor technology and energy. Cooperation with process developer of novel water filtration processes, Laboratory test at major European brewery | TRL: 4 | TAM: $9B (membranes in food and pharma industry)| Next Step : build-up of membrane pilot production to supply first movers | EUR 2.0mn sought – Germany

IT / Quantum / Space / Automotive
Lasers are used everywhere, but many applications need lasers with purer colors to reduce noise that limits performance. MicroR has the solution to create lasers with 1000 times purer colors that fit in the palm of your hand. Winner of the Intel sponsored “Create the Future Design Contest”, Leading an international project for the European Space Agency, Part of EUR 6 mn project with EU to make photonic computers. NDA’s and LOI from prospective telecom customers  |  TRL: 5  |  TAM $10B | Next step: commercial acceleration | EUR 0.8mn sought – Switzerland

About 790 million people worldwide suffer from chronic neuropathic pain. We have developed a therapy for peripheral neuropathic pain, based on a novel implantable electrode that crosses the nerve, SENSY. Easy to implant for the surgeon, it provides more focused stimulation than other commercial devices, increasing the effectiveness of the therapy. We have conducted early feasibility studies on 7 amputees, demonstrating not only that SENSY treats neuropathic pain but also that it increases controllability of prostheses by restoring natural sensory feedback from them.
Nominated among the top 100 swiss startups in 2017 and has received total financing through grants for 2.5 million eur. | TRL: 6 | Next step: to take its final and complete industrial prototype through clinical trials by 2023. | EUR 3.0mn sought – Switzerland
