EIC epitching with investors on CleanTech and Energy powered by EuroQuity on April 20 at 2:00 pm CET

The European Innovation Council and EuroQuity-Bpifrance are pleased to invite investors to participate in our EIC ePitching. This edition will focus on cleantech and energy and will take place on April 20th at 2 PM (CET). Seven EIC-backed SMEs were selected by a jury of investors and will have the chance to present their innovative solutions during an online event to a jury of investors, consisting of representatives from Butterfly, Contrarian Ventures, Demeter, Giano Ventures, Journey Partners, Iberdrola Ventures, Inventures, Metavallon VC, Mitsui, Munich Venture Partners, PVS investments, Total Carbon Neutrality Ventures, and UVC Partners.



The European Commission wants to continue their position as leader in terms of clear energy technologies. By maintaining this position, Europe can ensure a global competitive advantage by increasing exports of European sustainable products and tech. In order to further stimulate the progress of innovation in the European Cleantech and Energy-sector the European Innovation Council is organising an EIC ePitching with Investors on Cleantech and Energy, together with top-class European investors next April 20th at 2:00 pm CEST.

This will be the opportunity to discover seven EIC-backed SMEs on Cleantech and Energy solutions that will have the chance to present their innovative solutions to a jury of investors – consisting of representatives from Butterfly, Contrarian Ventures, Demeter, Giano Ventures, Journey Partners, Iberdrola Ventures, Inventures, Metavallon VC, Mitsui, Munich Venture Partners, PVS investments, Total Carbon Neutrality Ventures, and UVC Partners.  These companies were selected by the jury of investors and they were all funded by the European Commission and are now part of their most exclusive acceleration programme.

Following this session, investors are invited to schedule one-to-one meetings with the companies of their preference.

Enerpoly - Energy Storage / Batteries
Enerpoly is a battery technology company delivering breakthrough affordability in stationary energy storage for grid, industrial, commercial, and residential uses. We have solved critical issues in the cycle life and performance of globally abundant and accessible battery materials. Rencat - Automotive / Shipping
We convert ammonia to hydrogen onboard for fuel cell based zero carbon propulsion. We can decarbonize major part the part of the transport sector that cannot be covered by batteries by enabling ammonia, a zero -carbon hydrogen. | TRL: 6 | TAM: $15B | Next Step : Capacity Scale Up | 2.0M€ sought – Denmark

SpinDrive - Cleantech / Machinery / IoT 
We increase energy efficiency of the industrial processes by at least 10% by providing active magnetic bearings with IoT to equipment manufacturers. Our solution reduces equipment lifecycle costs by 35%. Paying customers in Europe and Asia, two big names – first commercial unit deliveries – LOIs for more than 5M€ of annual unit deliveries – 0.5M€ of unit deliveries in conditional purchase orders – potential to mitigate 0.6 Gt of CO2e by 2050 annually | TRL: 7 | TAM: €24B | Next Step : commercial acceleration | EUR 2.0 Mn sought – Finland

LeydenJar Technologies - Batteries/Equipment/Automotive 

Production of 100% silicon anode rolls that boost energy density of batteries with 70%. Demonstrated highest energy density in the world, validated by DNV-GL. Demonstrated anode roll production in pilot plant in Eindhoven. In paid qualification projects with leading OEM’s and battery makers in specialty applications, consumer electronics and automotive. Currently closing a € 15 mln Series A round.  TRL: 6-8, TAM: $30B Next Step: industrialization to Gigafactory level amount sought to be discussed
